Lisa Aldin - Jungs to go
Ich habe diese Buch beim Bloggertreffen von Lovelybooks.de auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2015 bekommen und bin begeistert. Es ist Lisa Aldin's Debute-Roman und er ist einfach nur toll.
Plot:
Toni, geht auf eine staatliche High School im US-Bundesstaat Vermont. Sie verbringt dort ihre Zeit mit ihren 3 besten Freunden. Als jedoch ein streich an ihrem Schulleiter schief geht wird Toni von ihrem Stiefvater auf eine reine Mädchenschule geschickt und endlich eine Dame zu werden. Toni findet diese Idee jedoch blöd und kann sich nicht recht in die Gemeinschaft intergrieren. Bis sie auf Emma trifft , welche eine Pseudo-Freund braucht um ihrem Ex-Freund eine auszuwischen. Gemeinsam bemerken die beiden , dass viele Mädchen an der Schule das selbe Problem haben und die beiden beschließen mithilfe von Tonis Freunden eine Agentur aufzubauen.
Charaktere:
Wir haben hier sehr unterschiedliche Charaktere, den das Buch scheint von seinen Gegensätzen zuleben. Auf der einen Seite steht Toni oder Tonya. Sie hat ihr ganzes Leben zwischen ihren Jungs verbracht und ist daher nicht sehr mädchenhaft. Sie rülpst gerne, kratzt sich am hintern und ist für jeden Spaß zu haben. Als sie jedoch auf die Mädchenschule kommt, muss sie sich plötzlich mit Maniküre und Gefühlen auseinandersetzen und ihre Baskettballshorts gegen einen Rock eintauschen. Ich finde das steht symbolisch als Wendepunkt für ihren Charakter.
Auf der anderen Seite steht Emma, sie ist in gutem Hause aufgewachsen und legt sehr viel Wert auf ihr äußeres. Emma und Toni scheinen zuerst überhaupt nicht zusammenzupassen , jedoch ergänzen sie sich im Bezug auf ihre Agentur. Emma hat Kontakte die Toni braucht.
Auf der ganz anderen Seite stehen die 3 Jungen. Cowboy ist der ruhige und ausgeglichene, welcher versucht zwischen allen vieren zu vermitteln. Ollie will einfach nur auf die Uni seiner Träume in Colorado. Jedoch wird dieses nach hinten gestellt als er nach dem Streich von seinen Eltern zurückgehalten wird.
Micah ist der beste Freund von Toni. Die beiden haben praktisch ihr ganzes Leben miteinander verplant, sie wollen zusammen auf die Uni.

Das Cover ist in Pink und Weiß gehalten. In der Mitte ist eine riesiger Milchshake aus dem zwei Beine hervorschauen.
Fazit:
Ich fand das Buch war ein sehr lockere Jungendroman, über den man gut und gerne auch mal schmunzeln kann. Er läuft nur leider am Anfang etwas langsam an, es dauert relativ lange bis man endlich erfährt was es mit der Agentur auf sich hat und in dieser Zeit beschäftigt sich die Autorin hauptsächlich mit der Jagd der Jugendlichen nach einem Monster.
Die Geschichte ist amüsant und für jeden gut nachvollziehbar der erwachsen wird. Ich fand die Story an sich total süß und realistisch, es macht Spaß zu lesen.

Plot:
Toni, is from a State High School in the US state of Vermont. She spends her time with her 3 best friends. However, when a prank on her headmaster goes wrong Toni is sent by her stepfather to an all-girls school and finally to be a lady. Toni finds this idea, however stupid and can not quite intergrate into the Community. Until she meets Emma, who needs a pseudo-friend to give her ex-boyfriend a wipe. Together the two notice that many girls at the school have the same problem and the two decide using Tonis friends to build an agency.
Characters:
We have very different characters, the book seems to-life on its full of contradictions. On one side stands or Toni or Tonya. She has lived all her life between her boys and is therefore not very girlish. She likes to burp, scratches her ass and is game for anything. But when she comes to the girls' school, she has to deal with manicure and feelings and exchange her Baskettball-shorts against a skirt suddenly. I think that symbolizes a turning point for her character.
On the other side is Emma, she grew up in a good home and puts a lot of pride in her appearance. Emma and Toni first seem not to match, but they complement each other in terms of their agency. Emma has contacts that Toni needs.
On the whole other side there are the 3 boys. Cowboy is trying to convey the quiet and balanced, which between all fours. Ollie just want to go to the university of his dreams in Colorado. However, this will take a back seat as it is retained by the string of his parents.
Micah is the best friend of Toni. The two have practically planned their whole life together, they want to go to university together

The cover is held in pink and white. In the middle is a giant milkshake from which two legs are sticking out.
Conclusion:
I found the book was a very loose YA, through which you may like to smile sometimes. It takes along time to get interesting , it takes a relatively long time until one finally learns what is going on with the Agency and in that time, the author mainly deals with the hunting of young people for a monster.
The story is amusing and understandable for each one . I found the story itself totally sweet and realistic, it fun to read.
