Darren Shan - Die Toten die ich rief / Lady of the Shades
Ich habe mal wieder ein Buch meines absoluten Lieblingsautors gelesen :-D Die Toten die ich rief ist einer seiner frei stehenden Bücher ( neben den phänomenalen Reihen ). Es macht mir daher besonders Spaß dieses Buch zu rezensieren und noch einmal durchzugehen.
Once again I've read a book of one of my absolute favourite Author :-D Lady of the Shades is a single book ( next to his phenomenal serieses). ´So ist really fun for me to write a Review and to rethink.

Ed Sieveking schreibt Horrorromane. Für seinen neues Projekt befindet er sich nun zum ersten Mal in London. Aber er wird auf allen seinen Wegen konstant von 6 Gespenstern verfolgt. Jene können ihm zwar nichts antun, versuchen aber ihn zu verschrecken. Doch auf einer Bootsparty auf der Themse lernt er eines Abends die schöne Andeanna kennen. Sie bekennt sich zunächst als Fan seiner beiden bis jetzt eher unbekannten Romane und die beiden lernen sich besser kennen. Doch bald findet Ed herraus, das sie die Frau des Türken Mikis Menderes ist. Einer der gefürchteten Gangsterbosse der Stadt. Doch auch Ed gibt vor ein anderer zu sein, als er wirklich ist...
Ed Sieveking writes horrornovels. He is in London for the first time, working on a new Project. But he is also constantly followed by 6 ghosts. They can't harm him, but they are trying to terrefy him. On a boattrip up the Themse he meets the beautiful Andeanna. She is outing herself as a fan of his books at first but the two of them are starting to grow together. Ed soon finds out, that she is the wife of the turkishmen Miki Menderes. One of the Gangsterbosses of London. But Ed don't seem to be the Person he pretends to be...
Characters:
Ed Sieveking ist der Hauptcharakter der Geschichte. Er hat zwei Bücher veröffentlicht, welche jedoch nicht besonders erfolgreich waren. Ed ist von sich aus ein sehr nachdenklicher und schüchterner Charakter. Er braucht einige Anläufe um zu überlegen ob er Andeanna ansprechen soll und tut dies letztendlich nur mit ihrer Hilfe. Auch ist er sehr zurückhaltend. Er lässt sich zwar von Joe mit seinem Roman helfen, zieht aber letztendlich alleine los um sich London anzuschauen.
Ed Sieveking is the main Protagonist of the story. He unsuccessfully published two books. Ed is a shy character and a thinker. He Needs quite a few moments to actually Chat-up Andeanna and is in the end just talking to her because she helped him. He is having his friend Joe helping him with his novel, but at last he is roaming the streets of London alone.
Joe ist der britische Freund von Ed. Er ist laut und chaotisch. Er war es auch, der Ed auf die Idee brachte nach London zu kommen und dort zu schreiben. Joe ist besessen von der Idee, dass Menschen sich plötzlich selbst entzünden könnten und versucht Ed davon zu überzeugen es in sein Buch aufzunehmen. Auch ist er für Ed eine Art bester Freund.
Joe is the british friend of Ed. He is loud and chaotic. It was him who talked Ed into the Idea of coming to London and writing there. Joe is obsessed with the Idea of spontanic self-enflament and tries to persuade Ed of writing about it. He is his best friend.
Andeanna ist die Frau von Mikis. Sie tritt sehr willensstark und selbstsicher auf. Jedoch wird sie von ihrem Mann misshandelt und Mikis hat öffentlich eine Reihe von Affären. Des weiteren wirkt sie Ed gegenüber oft sehr verschlossen und zurückhaltend. Sie lebt ihren Sohn Gregory jedoch aus vollem Herzen.
Andeanna is Mikis wife. She is very self-confident and knows what she wants. But she has been misstreated by her husband and Mikis had a series of public affairs. With Ed she is shy and Holding back. She absolutely loves her son Gregory

Fazit:
Alles in allem ein tolles Buch. Das Buch ist zwar nicht wirklich gruselig, aber dafür sehr spannend. Ich war sofort im Geschehen. Die Story an sich ist total abgdreht und das Ende unerwartet wie plausibel. Darren Shans Schreibstil ist wie immer sehr einfach, wodurch dem Buch gut gefolgt werden kann. Die Charaktere sind gut ausgearbeitet und auch als sich beide Protagonisten offenbaren ist dennoch klar, wer wer ist. Der Zeitsprung am Anfang wird jedoch leider erst ziemlich mittig in der Geschichte erklärt und bringt einen daher kurzzeitig aus dem Takt. Sehr erheiternd fand ich den Vornamen von Mikis Leibwächter, jener lautet nämlich Bond. Alles in allem liebe ich Darren Shan, kann an diesem Buch eigentlich nichts aussetzen und gebe daher :

All in all its a great book. The book is not really scary , but very exciting. I was into the story from the really first moment. The storyline is absolutely insane and the End was unexpected and plausible at the same time.Darren Shan's writing style is simple but also good to follow along. The characters are really well written, and even when they completely open up about themselves its still easy to see the original characteristics. The Time jump in the beginning is a bit confusing at first but is explained about half way through the book. Very funny was the first name of Mikis Bodyguard, his name is Bond. All in All its a great book and I love Darren Shan, so
