Okay hier ist einer meiner schwersten Reviews bis jetzt , da ich Problem mit dem Verstehen des Buches habe (denke ich muss es noch 5-6 mal ) lesen
Okay here is my hardest review until now, because I have a slight understanding Problem ( probably have to read it 5-6 more times)

Nach 20 Jahren kehrt Scout Finch aus New York zurück nach Alabama. Hier sind mittlerweile Aufstände aufgrund des 'Black-Movements' entstanden. In ihrem Aufenthalt verbringt Scout viel Zeit mit Henry, welchen sie einwilligt zu heiraten. Henry ist ein alter Jugendfreund, welcher nun die Kanzlei von Atticus leitet. Doch in Maycomb hat sich viel verändert Calpurnia hat die Familie verlassen, Atticus ist alt und Jem tod. Doch wieder kommt es zu einem Fall in dem ein schwarzer Jugendlicher verwickelt ist, diesmal jedoch scheint Atticus einer anderen Meinung zu sein.
After 20 Years Scout Finch is returning to Alabama from New York City. In Alabama there are now riots because of the 'Black- Movement'. During her stay Scout is doing a lot with her old friend Henry, who she is aggreing to marry. Henry is now working with Atticus and co-owning. But in Maycomb a lot of things have changed, Calpurnia has left the family, Atticus turned old and Jem is dead. And again there is a case arrising with a black teen. But this time Atticus seems to go a different way.
Charactere:
Hauptcharakter ist nun die mittlerweile erwachsene Jean Louise 'Scout' Finch. Sie ist nicht mehr so naiv und kindlich wie in 'Wer die Nachtigall stört' sondern tritt nun kokett und wissend auf. Sie besitzt eine gute Meinung und weiß was zu tun ist, ob die Öffentlichkeit es nun mag oder nicht. Sie besitzt nun ein sehr viel offeneres und tolleranteres Weltbild und wird von vielen nun als 'Farbenblind' bezeichnet
Maincharacter is the now older Jean-Louise 'Scout' Finch. She is not the naiv child anymore, like she was in 'to kill a mockingbird', but is now self-confident and kokett. She owns a good opinion and knows what has to be done, even if the society doesn't like this. She now has a lot more open and tollerant world view and is often described as 'colourblind' from others.
Auch alt-bekannte Charaktere sind wieder dabei, so haben wir auch weiterhin Atticus und Tante Alexandra, sowie Henry und den Richter. Manche Charaktere wie Jem, Dill oder Scouts Cousin tauchen leider nur in Rückblicken auf, die sich quer durch die Geschichte ziehen.
Calpurnia ist leider in ihrem ursprünglichen Charakter total verändert, sie ist nicht mehr stark und dominant, sondern nun gebrechlich und sehr zurüchhaltend.
Viele der Bewohner von Maycomb so wie die Ewells und Boo Radley tauchen gar nicht mehr auf.
Dafür gibt es nun einen 2. Bruder von Atticus dessen Name Onkel Jack ist.
A lot of already known characters are back, we still meet Atticus and Aunt Alexandra, also Henry and the Judge. Some characters like Jem, Dill and Scouts Cousin are just in Flashbacks, which are settled all the way through the story.
Calpurnia is completely changed in her character, she is not the strong and powerfull, proud to be black women anymore, but instead an old and breakable lady.
Many People of Maycomb like the Ewell's and Boo Radley are not appearing anymore.
Instead there is suddenly a second brother of Atticus, called uncle Jack.
Fazit:
Ich hatte mich so auf dieses Buch gefreut, als ich gehört habe es soll veröffentlicht werden und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Wie auch sein Vorgänger ist es ein Text den man auf viele verschiedene Weisen interpretieren kann und deren Metaphern und Symbole schwer zu verstehen sind. Aber je länger man darüber nachdenkt umso klarer wird es. Es ist ein bisschen verwirrend mit den ganzen Flaschbacks und ich habe immer noch nicht verstanden wie lange Scout jetzt wirklich in Maycomb war aber man kann diesen Text auf so viele Art und Weisen interpretieren:
- Entfremdung Vater zur Tochter
- Geschichte der Afro-Amerikaner
- Auswirkung und Entwicklung im Süden
- Mentalität im Süden
- Tolleranz
- Umschwung alter Traditionen
- Nord gegen Südstaaten
Und wie auch schon bei 'wer die Nachtigall stört' zieht sich der Titel als Thema wie ein roter Faden durchs Buch. Jedoch wird erst mit dem Ende klar was jeder mit seinem Wächter meint und wie er ihn einsetzt.
Alles in allem ist dies ein toller Text und kann sich ohne Probleme in die lange Liste der Klassiker einreihen obwohl er 'erst ' 2015 verlegt wurde.
I was really excited for this book, when I heard it was going to be published and I didn't got dissapointed. Like his predecessor its a text you can interpret in many different ways and the mataphores and symbols are hard to unravel. But the longer it gets the clearer it becomes. It's a bit confusing with all the flashbacks and I still didn't understood how long she actually was in Maycomb but you can interpret this in this ways:
- Loosing of the Father - Daughter Relationship
- History of African-Americans
- Impact and developement in the South
- Mentallity of the South
- Tolleranz
- Changing of Traditions
- Norh vs. South
And just like in 'to kill a Mockingbird' is the Titel like a red line through the book. But it takes until the very end to understand what everyone is meaning with a watchmen and how he defines and uses it.
All in all, its an amazing text and can be put in one line with the other classics without second thoughts, even if it's 'just' got published in 2015.
